Steven Sharp's Midas touch turned Orange again this Sunday as we were invited to 'follow the chameleon' from Soho Live down to Fire for an exclusive dj set from Boy George (follow the chameleon - Karma Chameleon - Boy George - geddit!?!). Open for a marathon 12 hours, we rocked up at 2am just as George took to the decks and we have to say - what an amazing set. We heard him play at the Wild Fruit tent in Brighton, but to hear his superb blend of vocal house, club, indie and electro on the top notch sound system at Fire was out of this world. Over in the Lounge, Fat Tony launched his new monthly residency with killer-vocal diva Tonnic, and as at Orange Trade 2, their collaborative set was storming - definitely one to go on the calendar in the 'must go' column. A capacity crowd of hot gayers, the Fire all stars on the decks and heavenly lighting and pyros over head made for the perfect end of summer party.
