Saturdays at GAY are legendary... They are talked about on television and radio, written about in national newspapers and even mentioned in books (Pop Babylon). Over the years they have attracted performances from the worlds biggest artistes and regularly feature new bands that go on to become huge, and last week was no exception as fabulous indie rock band, the Noisettes performed ahead of their sold out Koko gig on the 23rd June. To a packed house they played 4 tracks including their smash 'Don't Upset The Rhythm' followed up with a superb encore of T-rex's Children of the revolution with true rock chick lead singer Shingai Shoniwa crowd surfing and dancing on top of the drummers kit! The stunning performance was much appreciated by the cute G-A-Y crowd, and even more so when they found out they might be starring in the Noisettes new video being shot in the crowd that night. The winning G-A-Y formula once again saw the whole venue packed to the rafters with a huge queue around the corner waiting to get in.
