Hormones were running rife on Saturday as axed X-Factor boy band Avenue played at the Astoria. The 5 guys, fronted by super-hot, shaved-headed Max played a mixture of dance, pop and rock tracks including their new single 'Last Goodbye' and went down an absolute storm. They were supported by Aussie girl band Raen who also gave us their new single 'Drama Fanatic' as well as a couple of other poppy numbers making a superb 2-bands-for-the-price-of-1 40 minute show. OMO Saturdays are also gradually taking hold as one of the best places to hear the commercial dance and house music served up by remix maestro Kris Di Angelis. Working from his laptop he seamlessly blends up to 4 tracks to make mind-blowing combinations that vinyl junkies only dreamed of. Add to that the superb deck skills of Stevie B and you have the makings of an exquisite party. |
