It's no secret, we LOVE Fabric as a venue and were gutted when DT moved out, but it does mean that whenever we get a chance (ie. whenever there isn't a drum'n'bass night there) we still like to pop along to cruise the labyrinthine rooms. Last Sunday provided us with just such an opportunity as LaMB Productions threw a post Pride Underwater 'recovery' party based on the theory that the best way to recover from a day of partying... is to keep going well in to the night! Bedecked with netting and the furnishings of the subterranean, a mixed crowd of sailor boys, mermaid girls and raunchy shirtless beachbums were serenaded by electro-house aficionado Superseiya, Latin darling DJ Angel and Iberic-house maestros Eduardo de la Torre and Brent Nicholls, while the stage and runway were constantly filled with Fabio's troop of hot Brazilian gogo's dressed only in their underwear - standard dresscode for Ipanema apparently. A superbly fun and uplifting night, it only confirmed how much we love and miss this venue and, for a first big outing, LaMB well and truly dumped their waterwings and threw an amazing party.
